Confirmation

In 2022, the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon moved the Confirmation age from 9th grade to 7th grade. 

Beginning the 2024-2025 school year, Holy Rosary will prepare students with a two year program, to prepare for the reception of Confirmation in September of 2026.

To receive Confirmation at Holy Rosary, students are enrolled in the weekly preparation classes, submit homework in a timely manner, and participate in a day retreat (year 2).

Parents should be prepared to provide the church office with a copy of the student’s baptismal certificate at the time of registration. 

Non-parishioner children are welcome to join, space permitting, and with a letter granting permission from their pastor provided at the time of registration. 

Children in Sacramental Preparation classes Confirmation (2 years), must attend Mass at Holy Rosary during the time of their preparation.
