OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)

OCIA (formerly known as RCIA) is the process by which interested adults can inquire about the Church and prayerfully consider being received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil.

Holy Rosary's OCIA process begins in the fall, and is preceded by an informational session for anyone who is interested, offering an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the process. No registration is needed for the info session! Classes are then held on Wednesday evenings in Aquinas Hall.

The Catholic Church views the sponsor (godparent) for Baptism and Confirmation to be a religious and spiritual leader and model to the person who is to be baptized or confirmed. The sponsor is one who, among other things, will be a good example of the Catholic faith and practice for the person being baptized or confirmed. When you have chosen your sponsor, they can fill out the form below! It can be sent to office@holyrosarypdx.org.
